Session: The Green Village
The Green Village: a blueprint for sustainable, resilient and circular cities. A project in collaboration with the TU Delft
The Green Village is a living lab for sustainable innovation. The area, located at the TU Delft university campus, is focused on the built environment. Its goal is to let innovations reach the scale needed to make impact. In order to achieve this the Green Village offers a testing area and test beds with flexible infrastructure, a relevant network and matchmaking, support and advice with upscaling.
Relevant stakeholders from the four domains work together at The Green Village: scientists, businesses, government and civilians. By working together the process from idea to implementation will move faster, because they integrally overcome barriers. During the tour at The Green Village we will focus on several projects, like a water battery, water street, circular garage, modular houses (MOR), hyperloop and many more projects. Several innovations will be demonstrated by experts/scientists and the potential impact of each project will be discussed.
