02:45 PM to 04:00 PM
Location: Amsterdam RAI
Session: Solutions and goals for integrated climate adaptation for rural areas

Theme: Integrating Water and Resource Management
    Organiser: Province Noord-Holland

Together with partners, the province of North-Holland will share its experience with climate adaptation projects combined with biodiversity (building with nature), subsidence, energy transition, tourism, mobility, etc. We will also share how we think we can deal with sea level rise. We will ask the audience what their experiences are with climate adaptation in their regions or country. We will also talk about our governance and our best practices and ask the audience how governance works in their region or country. The focus will be the rural areas such as Waterland-Oost (resilient levee, biodiversity, recreation for fast growing Amsterdam), Afsluitdijk-Wieringerhoek-Harbour Den Oever (energy transition, sea level rise, tourism, fish migration river), Oeverdijk City of Hoorn (city beach, new nature, vitalising urban districts), Prins-Hendrik Zanddijk Texel (building with nature), Noordzeekanaal area (impact analyses for climate change, vital and vulnerable networks).
